Monetization Policy

01Our Commitment to Fair Play

Every player gets the same game. All gameplay content — weapons, vehicles, kit, maps, progression, servers — is equally available to everyone, regardless of whether they have ever given the project a penny.

We do not sell, and will never sell, anything that affects gameplay. There is no pay-to-win in BUSHWAR and there never will be.

02How BUSHWAR Is Funded

BUSHWAR is supported entirely by voluntary contributions:

• Patreon — recurring "tip" tiers with no attached rewards.
• One-off donations from community members.
• Merch store at bush-war.com — sales of physical apparel and goods.

Every contribution is optional. Choosing not to contribute never restricts your access to any server, any gameplay content, or community discussion and feedback.

03What Your Support Does Not Buy

Under no circumstances does money grant a gameplay advantage. Supporters and donors do not receive:

• Weapons, attachments, ammunition, vehicles, armour, or inventory items.
• Ghillie suits, camouflage, or any concealment or detection advantage.
• XP, score, rank, or progression boosts.
• Priority queue, reserved slots, or any access advantage that denies another player content.
• Leniency, priority, or special treatment in moderation, reports, or ban appeals.

Anything that would amount to a transaction for a gameplay benefit is prohibited by this policy and by Bohemia Interactive's rules.

04What Supporters Receive

Currently, nothing. Patreon supporters and donors receive no in-game or out-of-game benefit, reward, or perk. Support is voluntary and recognition-based only.

If cosmetic-only perks are ever introduced (for example profile flair, name plates, or non-advantageous uniform patches), they will be listed here first, they will remain purely visual, and access to all gameplay content will stay free for everyone.

05Where the Money Goes

BUSHWAR is a non-profit, community-led project. No individual takes profit from it. All funds received are used solely to support project operating costs, including:

• Server hosting and infrastructure (game servers, website, Discord bot).
• Software, licensing, and development tooling.
• General asset acquisition and commissioned content authored for the mod.
• Continued development across Project Dingo and related content.

Past development has included assets such as the Unimog (Project Dingo), the Alouette III (FRM x BUSHWAR), AK-47 variants, and various huts, trees, and environmental props. These reflect the broader evolution of the project rather than outcomes tied to individual contributions. All development decisions are made at the discretion of the BUSHWAR team.

06Mods & Authorization

Only content authored in Enfusion Workbench by the BUSHWAR team, or content we are properly licensed to use, runs on our servers. We can provide evidence of authorization for any mod on request, including to Bohemia Interactive.

We do not redistribute extracted game files. Community-made assets are re-implemented in Workbench, in line with the Arma Reforger EULA and Game Content Usage Rules.

07Sponsorship & Advertising

BUSHWAR currently has no sponsors and runs no paid advertising or product placement.

Should this change, any sponsor placement would be non-intrusive, would be disclosed on this page, and would never influence gameplay, server access, matchmaking, or moderation decisions.

08Bohemia Interactive Compliance

BUSHWAR operates under Bohemia Interactive's Server Monetization rules for Arma Reforger. Where anything in this policy conflicts with those rules, Bohemia Interactive's rules take precedence and we will bring this policy back into line.

Registration and approval on Bohemia's approved-server list is currently pending; this page will be updated when that status changes. Bohemia's current monetization permission runs until 31 January 2027 and is subject to renewal on their terms.

BUSHWAR is an independent community project. We are not endorsed by, partnered with, or an official product of Bohemia Interactive, and we do not represent ourselves as such.

09Payment, Refunds & Cancellation

Recurring support is processed by Patreon and its payment provider under their terms. You can cancel at any time from your Patreon account; cancellation stops future charges. Because the tiers carry no rewards, nothing is lost or removed when you cancel.

Merch store purchases are handled by the store at bush-war.com under its own returns and refund terms. For any billing question or dispute, contact contact@bush-war.com and we will review it in good faith.

10Reporting a Concern

If you believe any BUSHWAR perk, server, or practice grants a pay-to-win advantage or otherwise breaches this policy or Bohemia's rules, tell us at contact@bush-war.com or in our Discord. Suspected breaches of Bohemia's rules can also be reported to Bohemia Interactive directly.

11Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the community, our funding, or the applicable rules evolve. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes will be announced in our Discord server.
